Kris Wells
Hometown:
St. Louis
Educational Status:

How would you describe your experience
as a Black Architecture student?
I was intimated at first. I came to realize that architecture was a field of study that lacked people that looked like me. Eventually I overcame that intimation and used it as motivation.
Why do you want to get your license?
To prove to myself that I could do it. To be apart of the very few licensed African American architects and to hopefully inspire someone else.
Biggest inspiration/influence?
My mother
How important is representation?
Having the proper representation and people to look up to can be the difference between going to jail and going to college.
Favorite quote/poem/song/etc.?
I promise to build something that they can’t destroy.
